The 'Red Baby Doll' tulip is highly regarded among the lovers of Rembrandt's flowers. It belongs to rare early double varieties. Its spherical, large flowers are densely packed with oval petals and resemble small roses. The illusion is additionally magnified by the deep red colour that is unusual for early tulips. The 'Red Baby Doll' tulip grows up to 30 centimetres tall. Its compact habit makes a perfect fit for edgings, flower bed foreground or lawn borders. It will even thrive as... a pot plant grown at home.
Tulips cultivated on flower beds should be planted in autumn into a permeable, fertile and moderately moist soil. You can start pot cultures at about the same time of the year. The 'Baby Doll' variety that we offer here is perfectly suited for forcing. Bulbs planted in pots and then kept in the garden or in a cool cellar for about three to four months will bear flowers at the end of winter already. The red double flowers of the presented variety harmonize tremendously with the pastel-coloured hyacinths. They bloom in the garden in April and add a nice touch to the early spring arrangements of small botanical tulips, crocuses, snowflakes, squills and grape hyacinths.
One package contains 5 'Red Baby Doll' tulip bulbs, sized 12-14 cm. The basic plant growing instructions have been printed on the package.
