The Starline tulip is a late variety that develops marvellous dark red flowers. Its every petal is adorned with a subtle white edge that gives the flowers a 3-D depth. This tiny charming beauty will dazzle you in various roles. Its peony-shaped flowers sit atop the strong stiff circa 30 cm tall stems. These compact double tulips look great at the front of the flower beds, on edgings, lawn borders and in containers, e.g. large bowl planter or a balcony box. They would also fit into rock gardens that are usually dominated by the early botanical tulips.

The late double tulips will flower tremendously both in the sun and in partial shade, but make sure that they have full access to sunlight for at least several hours a day. Plant the bulbs in a light, humous and moist soil. They can grow on one site for several years. We recommend to dig them out every 3 to 4 years, sift the bulbs and plant again. This care measure is a guarantee of an abundant, reliable blooming.
